This property was developed and managed by The Odom Organization.

Designed for a more casual kind of longer stay, Candlewood Suites Lafayette is located at 2105 Kaliste Saloom Rd.

The Odom Organization entered into a licensing agreement with IHG Hotels and Resorts for this 80-unit Candlewood Suites extended stay hotel in Lafayette Louisiana. Full architectural and construction plans for Candlewood Suites were developed for maximum use of this site for a mid-priced extended stay hotel.

Odom worked extensively with Lafayette Consolidated Government to develop a shared public access drive for the benefit of the hotel and neighboring businesses. Utilizing parking areas in front of the hotel, Odom was able to develop a public access easement which allowed traffic to flow through and connect each neighboring business next to the hotel. The public access drive proceeding directly through Odom’s Candlewood hotel parking area and how this would positively affect the neighboring land next door to each side of the hotel caught the eye of some national fast food chains, one of which purchased one of the neighboring sites.

A premier hotel management company approached The Odom Organization and made an offer to purchase this Candlewood Suites extended stay hotel in this increasingly populated area of Lafayette. The Odom Organization accepted their offer and sold the property in March of 2018.

Candlewood Suites Lafayette continues to enjoy success in this location providing extended stay travelers many ways to unwind.
